what’s an appropriate way to ask your landlord if you can get a dog? help

She wanted more info & we have to add some clauses to the lease etc but we can actually get a dog!!!😭

I’m sill here, but mostly lurking. Lockdown has got me making far more coffee at home, so I upgraded my grinder to this Eureka Mignon Specialita from Machina Coffee. Then I made this short video while making a coffee. In the hopper is a coffee from Indonesia roasted by Amoret Coffee.

TODAY Thursday December 12th please VOTE LABOUR and GET THE TORIES OUT!

Make sure you get to your polling station early today so you aren’t turned away. It’s open from 7am to 10pm, and you don’t need ID or a polling card to vote. If you can, visit a marginal seat to help getting out the vote.

Low turnout: Tory victory

High turnout: Tory loss

  1. Find your polling station: https://action.labour.org.uk/page/content/polling-station-finder
  2. Plan for today and help get the vote out at a marginal: mypollingday.com
  3. Do not take selfies or pictures of any kind inside your polling station! It could automatically invalidate your vote and isn’t worth the risk.
  4. If you haven’t sent off your postal vote you can hand it in.
  5. You can get an emergency proxy if you’re ill: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/get-ready?utm_source=parliament.uk&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=GE19

“Fuck off, you’re ruining the Vine experience”

@danceinthedust

Been a while (again), last weekend I was out with CKC helping out with their Taster Day. Took my camera and got a few shots. Was a fun day out, and hopefully got a few more people interested in this hobby.

Mini life update since it’s been like a good month or two since I last posted instead of just lurked. Since then kayaked a whole lot, van passed it’s MOT, Roisin and I went to Scotland for my birthday, camped some nice places but the weather would be sunny on days we were driving, rainy on days we’d stop. Some more kayaking, and then some more, glastonbury came and went, then some more kayaking, then I was over in Slovakia again for Pohoda 3rd year in a row, such an amazing festival. Then last weekend me and Roisín went over to Pembrokeshire for a chill weekend for her birthday. It wasn’t so chill. My van decided to leak out all of the powersteering fluid but it did mean we stayed in a nice hostel in St Davids. Meanwhile, we’ve been looking at flats, found, offered and just waiting to sign a lease on one after we sort out some contract issues. Then we move in together. I should post more photos, will spam some soonish hopefully.

Last Thursday on the Thames with the CKC folks.

I got a conditional offer!!!!

My girlfriend is amazing!

So yeah, got a new flat 20min walk to work with parking. It’s a huge church conversion, with a bunch of flats inside. Most importantly it has parking. And right by the M4 to get out of London. Found out about a kayak club a touch further west in Kew. Hopefully heading along there this Thursday. And a climbing wall opened up equidistant from work and my flat. So there’s at least 2-3 nights of activities per week sorted. At work we’re about to launch a beta product (for kids to learn coding) and I have been doing all the bits around building the infrastructure for it. Pushing forward with using AWS, Docker and other tools. Actually doing stuff in this job as opposed to my last one and being a key part of the team. Also, does anyone that follow me work in schools? We make software that is used in a lot of schools in the U.K. and I’m curious if I know anyone who’s used it. The core product is called Espresso.

There’s a pizza place near my new flat and you can smell the garlic bread from 500ft away
